Greetings, fellow enthusiasts! I am Sanjay, and I am thrilled to embark on my first blog journey with Yantra Inc., an organization that not only ignites my creativity but also showers its employees with attention and care. Today, I’m here to share insights into the realm of Robotic Process Automation (RPA), specifically leading the charge with Automation Anywhere 360, amidst a sea of competitive tools such as Mulesoft, UiPath, and Power Automate.

Why the diverse toolset, you might ask? Yantra Inc. believes in flexibility, ensuring that we cater to every client’s unique needs. We aim not to miss any opportunity, whether it’s collaborating with existing RPA tools or providing solutions for clients with varying preferences.

A decade in MNCs refined my personality, communication, and leadership skills, while my technical prowess blossomed in the startup realm. As an Oracle Technical Consultant Boasting 15 years of experience, I delved into PL/SQL intricacies, honing my expertise in the ever-evolving IT landscape.

So, why leap into RPA? The decision was a bit serendipitous, a mix of financial considerations and a touch of luck. Landing in Automation Anywhere turned out to be a blessing, resonating with my past experiences, especially in PL/SQL. Today, as I navigate through different versions and migrate to the Cloud, the journey remains riveting.

I realized the real gem lies in its ability to automate manual tasks efficiently. Picture this: a task taking 30 minutes for a human can be reduced to 5 minutes with automation. However, the apparent simplicity of the end-user experience masks the intricacies lurking beneath the surface. Developers encounter challenges ranging from application glitches to credential issues, rendering the automation process a meticulous endeavor.

Why Automation Anywhere in RPA? initially, it was the organization’s choice, but I soon discovered its versatility. Automation Anywhere allows you to master various skills – from Python and VBScript to JavaScript, AI, and even ChatGPT. It seamlessly integrates different elements, creating an environment where upgrading skills becomes second nature.

The crux of RPA’s allure lies in its application versatility. Whether you’re a Power BI developer or an SAP specialist, RPA provides a platform to integrate any application or API, opening doors to a plethora of knowledge and skills.

Speaking of domains, RPA’s utility knows no bounds. From healthcare and finance to insurance and HR,automation can streamline processes and alleviate pain points across all industries. I find fulfillment in removing these obstacles for users, colleagues, and myself.

Here’s an interesting tidbit – RPA is accessible to all through its free community edition. You can sign up, learn, and even earn certifications, making it a gateway for continuous improvement.

Here is one of the best use cases I’ve been involved in that have proven immensely useful for users:

Use Case: Integrating Multiple Applications

In a complex business environment, integrating multiple applications can streamline processes and enhance efficiency. I worked on a scenario where four applications played vital roles:

Brightree: Generates invoices.
Snowflake: Stores data.
Salesforce: Manages sales transactions.
Netsuite: Handles invoice creation.

The challenge was to synchronize data across these applications efficiently. Although some applications had APIs for integration, Brightree lacked that feature. Moreover, manual data handling consumes significant time.

To address this, a solution was devised using Automation Anywhere. A bot, along with multiple sub-bots, was created to automate the process. Here’s how it worked:

  • Brightree Data Extraction: The bot mimicked manual actions, such as logging in, filtering, and downloading reports from Brightree.
  • Data Validation and Storage: Snowflake and Salesforce data were utilized for validation and storage, respectively. Automation Anywhere facilitated direct connections to these platforms.
  • Netsuite Integration: The bot leveraged Netsuite APIs to create transactions using data downloaded from Brightree.

The impact was significant:

  • Time Savings: What previously took 4-5 hours for 3-4 individuals now required a maximum of 15 minutes daily.
  • Efficiency: Daily operations were streamlined, saving approximately 20 hours of work per day.

These use cases demonstrate the transformative power of automation in streamlining processes, enhancing efficiency, and improving user experiences.

Here is how the bot flowed between the systems.

In conclusion, my journey with RPA revolves around making weekends work-free and alleviating challenges for others. What are your thoughts on this transformative technology? Feel free to share your ideas and suggestions to enhance this discourse.

I hope you enjoy my first attempt at sharing my learning and experience! Let the conversation continue!
